Before I start writing a whole lot about what we expect and what we offer, I think it's natural to tell you a little about Fjellvann and what the situation is.
Hi 👋 My name is Daniel and I'm the general manager of Fjellvann, I'm the one you'll be working closely with.
Fjellvann has existed for over 7 years, and until now has only had me as an employee in addition to two permanent hired resources and often hires more when needed. With an increasing number of assignments reaching a level where we have to say no, it's time to increase our capacity. That's where you come in!
At the start of 2022, Solid Media, a marketing agency, came in on the ownership side after several years of close collaboration. They are a solid (pun intended 😎 ) company with over 20 employees that we sit together with in Akersgata 1. So do not fear, you will see other faces than just mine.
I'm now looking for a designer who can help build Fjellvann further. What I need is a strong "do-er" who can help raise the level of our design deliveries and at the same time manage projects from start to finish.
Who I think you are
It's perhaps not surprising that I expect a few years of web design experience and feel confident about being responsible for projects on your own. If you have relevant schooling and other design experience such as UX, visual identity or product, that's great, but the focus is on web design.
Because the goal of the appointment is to increase quality, it may be a good idea to give an impression of where we are today by looking at some of our projects.
When it comes to you as a person and your ambitions, I want to work with someone who is forward-thinking and wants to get better. I think and hope you scour Dribbble, Behance, Instagram, Pintrest and/or Youtube for inspiration or learning new tools to become a complete designer. 💪
It becomes natural to think that you want more responsibility than just being given a list of things to do. You should be a person who is not only able to be assigned responsibility, but also take it yourself and be proactive in seeing opportunities.
What will it be like to work at Fjellvann?
Work tasks, responsibilities, routines, working hours, flexibility in terms of working from home, etc. are things you will be able to help shape and develop in the way that best suits us as a team.

- Wireframes for website projects.
- Web design in Figma (Figma is easy to learn if you know XD/Sketch)
- Customer meetings and dialog during the project.
- Project management of external and internal projects.
- Dialogue and communication of tasks to developers.
- Manage incoming emails and phone calls.
- Simple changes to existing customers' websites (with training)
- Help develop our delivery process.
- Contribute to increased expertise in design and UX.
- Post-development debugging of design and simple features.
Other tasks/skills
This is a type of task or skill that is fantastic if you already know/have it. If not, no worries, we're happy to spend time and money teaching you.
- Setup of simple web pages in no-code tools.
- Basic HTML and CSS.
- Basic understanding of universal design and accessibility.
- Simple technical maintenance of WordPress websites.
- Brand and UX workshops with customers.
- Easy assistance in sales dialogues with customers.
- Message and simple text work for customers.
- Develop visual profiles and other graphic material internally and for customers.
- Develop design systems of varying degrees of complexity.
